About our club

The Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club Inc. was formed in 1983 (incorporated in 1984), to cater for the full spectrum of motoring enthusiasts. The club is based in New Gisborne, Victoria.

Since inception, membership of the club has grown to numbers in excess of three hundred families from throughout Victoria, interstate and overseas.

The motoring interests of our club members are extremely diverse, including vintage, veteran and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles of all makes and models, stationary engines, tractors and bulldozers. Our primary objective is to encourage the restoration, preservation, operation and enjoyment of motors and motorised vehicles.

The Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club  is renowned for the staging of the Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock display event, each February. Instigated in 1987, “Picnic at Hanging Rock” was conceived as an event for displaying and viewing special interest cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, stationary engines and pedal cars. This event has grown over successive years and now attracts well over 1500  display vehicles  and  thousands of spectators and is one of the premier Classic Car shows in Victoria.
