Midweek Run July

The July 23 Midweek Run began with a cheerful group gathering at Bourkies Bakehouse in Woodend, despite some threatening weather. We enjoyed a scenic drive to Maldon, where the history of the gold mining era became apparent.

Upon arriving at the Maldon Machinery Museum, we were greeted by Vice President Rod Barry. Although it was sunny, a chilly wind met us. We took a group photo before exploring the impressive collection, which includes items like oil cans, saws, milk separators, and even a beautifully decorated white hearse. One highlight was a stunning circular display of woodworking hand tools.

Afterward, we headed to the Maldon Hotel for lunch. With 40 participants, the hotel managed to accommodate us well, serving delicious meals promptly.
