The Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club Inc. was established in 1983 and incorporated in 1984 to cater to the diverse interests of motoring enthusiasts. The club is based in New Gisborne, Victoria. Since its inception, the membership has grown to over three hundred families from across Victoria, as well as from interstate and overseas. The motoring interests of our club members are incredibly diverse, encompassing vintage, veteran, and classic cars, trucks, motorcycles of all makes and models, stationary engines, tractors, and bulldozers. Our primary objective is to encourage the restoration, preservation, operation, and enjoyment of motors and motorised vehicles. The Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club is particularly well-known for staging the Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock display event each February. Launched in 1987, "Picnic at Hanging Rock" was created as an opportunity to display and view special interest vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, stationary engines, and pedal cars. This event has grown significantly over the years and now attracts about 1200 display vehicles and thousands of spectators, making it one of the premier classic car shows in Victoria. | ![]() |
