Bob Jones
30/01/1941 -17/11/2024

We are deeply sorry to advise of the passing on Sunday 17 November 2024 of long time member Bob Jones (Membership No: 1259).

Bob & Margaret joined the MRADMC on the 1th of March 2007 and were staunch members and supporters of the club. His pride and joy, (apart from his family), was his 12 cylinder, 1935 Lincoln Le Baron Coupe. The link below will take you to an interview he did with Graeme Lemin some time ago. Our thoughts & prayers go to Margaret and the family in this very sad time.

John Charles Mallia
1947-2024

As if losing Bill wasn't hard enough, sadly we have lost another much loved member in John Mallia, John also had a fall at home and after a period of time in hospital, the family made the heart breaking decision to turn off John' s life support machine.

John had been a member of our club for 27 years, joining the MRADMC in October of 1997, he was allocated membership number 1050. He loved his Wolseley's and was also a member of the Wolseley Car Club of Victoria, where he had been a member for 40 years, and had held the positions of President, Vice President, Regalia Officer, and for many years had been a life member.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra, Darryl, and all of John's family and friends during this very sad time, he will be sadly missed.

David William "Bill" Clampit
1934 – 2024

The President and Committee of the Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club wish to express their deep sympathy to Bill's family on their loss. A life member of our Club, Bill's loss will be keenly felt. Rest in peace.

One of our much loved and esteemed members, Bill Clampit passed away on the morning of Friday 25 October 2024, who was in hospital after a recent fall. Bill joined the MRADMC in June of 1993 and with membership number 1008, is the third lowest number on our books, making him a founding member of our club, he became a life member in 2015.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Jenni, the family and friends during this very sad time.

Jeffrey Brian Hall
1961 – 2023

Sadly, we have lost yet another of our long-standing members with the passing of Jeff Hall (Membership No: 1244), on 11 September 2023 after a long battle with Cancer.

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Vivien, Natasha, Vanessa & Jared, his extended family and to all who knew him, either as a friend of many years or just as some guy who knew just about everything about cars in general and Z cars in particular.

Jeff's funeral was held on Friday the 25th of September at the Joyce Chapel in the Fawkner Cemetery complex and was well attended by not only MRADMC members, but a great turn out of cars and members from the Zephyr Zodiac Owners Car Club of Melbourne, of which Jeff had been a member for over 40 years.

After the funeral service there was a cavalcade of classic & modern cars that followed the hearse up to the Riddell's Creek cemetery for his final journey. After the grave side service, we gathered at the Riddell's Creek Pub, to reminisce on Jeff's life.

Peter Edward Black
1945 – 2023

It is my sad duty to inform members of the recent passing of our esteemed member Peter Black (Membership No: 1491) who has succumbed to a serious illness and passed away on 24th June 2023.

The Club members and Committee, send our deepest condolences to Peter's family.

Peter Donald Amezdroz
1951 – 2022

Sadly, Peter Amezdroz passed away on the evening of 3rd August 2022. At Peter's request the funeral was held at the clubrooms on Saturday 13 August, so that all his friends could attend. It was a lovely celebration with so many members attending. It's nice to learn how much the club meant to him. Peter's Pontiac Firebird was fittingly present in the rooms next to Peter's coffin which was aptly painted to look just like it.

Pete and Pam joined the MRADMC in 2010 (Membership No: 1344), and quickly fit into the club where he made many friends and assumed many roles over the years. He was an exceptional Editor filling the magazine with articles of all types, Club Photographer, Midweek Run Coordinator (which he shared with Pam of course!) taking us on runs near and far, he continued to write monthly storied for MotorMouth when he wasn't Editor and had his very own "Pete's Page". In 2022 he received a Life Membership Award for his services to the club over the last 10 plus years. He was a true character and will be fondly remembered.

Trevor Lindon Kellett
1942 – 2021

Sadly I must advise you that we have lost yet another member of the club. Trevor Kellett (Membership No: 1241) passed away late last week after a very long illness. For those who remember Trevor, both he and his wife Ann were staunch supporters of the club and would attend everything together. Even when Trevor got sick & was wheelchair bound, as a true, 'Yorkshire Tyke', (The term (Yorkshire) tyke is used as a nickname for a person from Yorkshire), he refused to give up and Ann did everything she could to get him to club functions which he still enjoyed. Unfortunately his illness became worse and ultimately he became house bound, but still enjoyed getting his copy of Motor Mouth and keeping up to date with what was going on in the club.

To Ann & both her & Trevor's extended families we have extended our deepest condolences & have offered whatever help we can during this very trying time. Trevor was laid to rest at Altona Memorial Park on 17 December 2021.

Debbie Anne Dole - 13/7/1956 ~ 13/9/2020

It was with great sadness that we announce the loss of another long-time member of our club, Debbie Dole (Membership No. 1206). For quite some time, Debbie had been battling a serious, undiagnosed blood disorder, which ultimately turned out to be advanced pancreatic cancer. After an incredibly brave fight, she sadly passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at around 4:15pm. Many of us were unaware of just how sick she was, as Debbie preferred to keep her struggles private, not wanting anyone to fuss over her and simply wishing to carry on with her life without being treated any differently.

Debbie and her husband, Gary, joined the MRADMC in March 2005. Their easy-going nature and shared passion for classic vehicles helped them quickly forge friendships within the club. Throughout her time with us, Debbie was always among the first to lend a hand, taking on several roles, including Catering and Rally Director. However, the position she cherished most was catering at the Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock Car Show.

Debbie will be deeply missed by all. On behalf of the club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Gary, their two children, as well as their five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, along with everyone who's been touched by her life.

Deb's funeral took place on Friday, October 2nd, in Ballarat. Due to Covid-19 restrictions on travel and gatherings, only family members could attend, Deb's ashes were return to Melton, this gave anyone who wished to stop by for a cup of tea and a chat a chance to find some closure in spending time with her before she iwaslaid to rest at Bonnie Doon.
