November Midweek Run
WEDNESDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 2024
This will be our last midweek run for the year
We will meet at the clubrooms around 9:00am for a 9:30am departure
and travel to Riddells Creek for morning tea at
DROMKEEN TEA ROOM/ CAFE
Kilmore Rd, Riddells Creek
Dromkeen is a very beautiful old home built in 1889 by a Melbourne Judge Arthur Chomley as his country estate. This stately National Trust home has beautiful gardens with a range of Australian native and European plants, a gazebo and two resident peacocks.
Guests to Dromkeen are able to visit our Tea Room, browse in the galleries or wander around the beautiful gardens which have trees more than 100 years old, some listed on the National Trust register.
After morning Tea our Road Captain Roger Payne will lead us over to Trentham on another mystery and scenic diversion, for lunch at
The Pig & Whistle Hotel
Cnr Pearson Road & James Lane, Trentham East
Please let me know if you are wishing to attend Morning tea at Dromkeen and also lunch at the Pig and Whistle,
so I can inform the appropriate people to cater for us,
RSVP No later than Monday 25 November.
As this is our last Run for the year it would be lovely if as many of you as possible could come along on this run.
If that is not possible I hope you all have a Happy and Safe Christmas,
and hope to see you all again on the Mid Week Run next year.
Pam Amezdroz for the Mid Week Run Group.
Our Midweek Run is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month.
Members enjoy a day cruising to local attractions, stopping for morning tea and then visiting unique venues with plenty of variety for everyone. Lunch is usually at one of the local cafes, wineries or pubs or sometime a picnic in the park.
Everyone is welcome to come and join in on these fun monthly day trips.
