Even though the weather isn’t always favourable, members of the club had a busy winter season of special events along with our regular Monthly Meetings, Cars and Coffee Catchups, Red Plate Days and Midweek Runs.
In May members enjoyed a weekend away in Beechworth for the Back in Time Car Show and attended the 44th Annual Steam & Vintage Machinery Rally at the club’s compound, held by our friends, at the Gisborne Steamies.
June events included a Movie Night at the clubrooms where members watched the old classic American Grafitti, of course, the highlight of June is always the Pisn’N’Broke Challenge against our friends of the Chrysler Restorers Club. A great day was had, starting at Living Legends, Woodlands Park Mansion, followed by a drive through the local countryside trying to find answers to the very popular trivia rally. Lunch back at the clubrooms followed by a Lego challenge saw the Chrysler Restorers take home the trophy for 2024.
Another club run in July to the Museum of Vehicle Evolution in Kialla was another popular Sunday Run.
Two runs in August firstly to the Watergardens Bowling Alley for a bowling night against the Western Restorers Club where once again the trophy went to the opposition. The month ended with a Car Display for Father’s Day at Bunnings in Sunbury.
